In today's lesson, we learnt about 2-Column Story-Boarding. I feel that this method is more effective that the modern day story boarding because it is less time-consuming as sketches of pictures are not needed. It has clarity and simplicity as there are only 2 columns that could be filled with as much information as you want however it has to be easy to understand and not too complex.We also thought of things of what we feel makes a good-quality story board;
Features of good-quality Story Boards;
- Has to be part of narrative idea
- Clear shot angles/distance
- Movement of camera/actor
- Shot length specified
- Sound could be included
- Lighting could be included
- SFX could be included
- Has to be realistic
- Storyboard the whole sequence
- Action of shot has to be clear/whats happening
